This role is a member of the Technical Services Team, reports to the Engineering Manager.</p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Role Accountabilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead geotechnical aspects of the project such as solution ponds, embankments, and associated earthworks.</li><li><span>Develop and review design criteria, geotechnical models, stability analyses, deformation assessments, seepage analyses, and thermal modelling to support cold-climate facility performance.</span></li><li><span>Apply sound engineering judgment to cold-climate geotechnical challenges, including frozen ground&nbsp;</span><span>behavior, seasonal variability, and long-term thermal performance.</span></li><li>Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with construction and operational realities.</li><li>Provide geotechnical input to FS, detailed engineering, and optimization studies.</li><li>Review and support Quality Management (QM) programs, earthworks specications, and liner system&nbsp;<span>installation procedures.</span></li><li>Participate in site inspections, review eld and laboratory testing results, and resolve non-conformances.</li><li>Develop and oversee geotechnical monitoring programs (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers, settlement&nbsp;<span>monuments).</span></li><li>Support the development and implementation of facility governance frameworks and OMS / OMS Manuals&nbsp;<span>aligned with Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) Protocols.</span></li><li>Support compliance with applicable legislation and guidance, including the Canadian Dam Act.</li><li>Contribute to regulatory submissions, technical reports, and engagement with regulators and independent reviewers.</li></ul><h5>&nbsp;<b>Qualications</b></h5><ul><li><span>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License</span></li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) eligible in Yukon</li><li>Master’s degree preferred</li></ul><h5 style="margin-top:2.85pt;margin-right:14.5pt;margin-bottom: 0in;margin-left:10.3pt;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent:0in;line-height:115%"><b>Skills &amp; Experience</b></h5><ul><li>10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering experience with demonstrated experience in heap leach facilities.</li><li>Experience with cold-climate geotechnical engineering, remote mine sites, Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM)&nbsp;<span>Protocols, and the Canadian Dam Act is preferred.</span></li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience translating complex information for different audiences</li><li>Prociency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Understanding of Indigenous customs and cultures, particularly Yukon Indigenous Peoples, is considered an</li><li>asset</li></ul><h5 style="margin-top:2.85pt;margin-right:14.5pt;margin-bottom: 0in;margin-left:10.3pt;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent:0in;line-height:115%"><b>Work Location &amp; Conditions</b></h5><ul><li>Location: Yukon Territories, Canada</li><li>Remote based role with a preference for Yukon based candidates</li><li>Standard 5-day work week with frequent travel to site, which could include weekends from time to time</li><li>Periodic travel to and across the Yukon and Vancouver required</li></ul><h5 style="margin-top:2.85pt;margin-right:14.5pt;margin-bottom: 0in;margin-left:10.3pt;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent:0in;line-height:115%"><b>Expected Compensation</b></h5><ul><li>$190,000 - $210,000 – Dependent on experience</li></ul><h5 style="margin-top:2.85pt;margin-right:14.5pt;margin-bottom: 0in;margin-left:10.3pt;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent:0in;line-height:115%"><b>Position Availability</b></h5><p>This posting represents an active and current vacancy within the company.
